Ancient Building Complex in the Wudang Mountains appeared in the "World Heritage List" (No.: 200 -013) under the World Heritage selection criteria C (I) (II) (VI) in December 15, 1994. There is the evaluation of the World Heritage Committee: Ancient Building Complex in the Wudang Mountains embodies architectural and artistic achievements of Chinese secular and religious buildings in Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasty.

Ancient Building Complex in the Wudang Mountains is located in the Wudang Mountains in Hubei Province. As we know, the scale of the mountains is gradually formed during the Ming Dynasty, and the Taoist building of the mountains can be traced back to the seventh century AD.
