Ancient Building Complex in the Wudang Mountains appeared in the "World Heritage List" (No.: 200 -013) under the World Heritage selection criteria C (I) (II) (VI) in December 15, 1994. There is the evaluation of the World Heritage Committee: Ancient Building Complex in the Wudang Mountains embodies architectural and artistic achievements of Chinese secular and religious buildings in Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasty.


Ancient Building Complex in the Wudang Mountains is located in the Wudang Mountains in Hubei Province. As we know, the scale of the mountains is gradually formed during the Ming Dynasty, and the Taoist building of the mountains can be traced back to the seventh century AD. What’s more, in nearly a thousand years, the building absolutely represents the highest level of Chinese art and architecture. Certainly, great emphasis is placed on this lovely place, which would absolutely develop the economics in the local place.


It is known to all that Wudang Mountains is located in the southwest of Danjiangkou in Hubei Province, also known as Tai Shan and Yuen-san. Moreover, Wudang Mountains is a famous place of Taoism. It is said that the Taoist believe that it is the birthplace of Wudang Boxing. According to our records, Wudang means "only really be able to Wudang Boxing can stand here." Undoubtedly, so many natural scenic spots and cultural scenic spots (including nine wells, ten pools, ten stones, and 11 holes) that all of these form a magnificent and unparalleled picture.
