Simplied Taiji Quan
After the establishment of The People's Republic of China, Simplified Taiji Quan spreads to plenty of regions in the world. In order to facilitate Simplified Taiji Quan and promote the numbers of people who fall in love with Taiji Quan, in 1956, the masters, based on Yang style Taiji, deleting the troublesome and repetitive movements, select 24 types, and compile a new kind of Taiji Quan, which is called "Simplified Taiji Quan".
From now on, Simplified Taiji Quan has been popular at home and abroad, loved by so many people. What’s more, several millions of wall charts and books about Simplified Taiji Quan were published all over the country. In 1980, only in Beijing, there were more than 140 establishments of counseling stations, which has professional training courses. Moreover, the number of people who participated in the activities is 4 million or more, the guidance of these stations is to teach Simplified Taiji Quan.
In order to meet the needs of the people who are eager to learn the Taiji Quan everywhere and any time, in 1979, based on the Yang Taiji Quan, The People's Republic of China Sports Committee again compiled "48-style simplified Taiji Quan". Country attaches great importance to the intangible cultural heritage protection, May 20, 2006; the estate was approved of the inclusion of the first batch of national intangible cultural heritage site by the State Council.
