Feeling of Taiji in Daily Life
At night I went to the central park with children. Children were riding in the side, and I was bored of sitting on one side. Hot weather makes a lot of people stay at the park for leisure. This was a place for the old. On the eastern side, many young people were in modern dance, and they came here every day spontaneously. The dance team was very tidy, and it also lead to a lot of people to join. In the last row there are a lot of the new learners.
A group of elderly people in the west were playing Taiji(Taichi) Quan, the distinctive styles of movements have also attracted a lot of viewers, in addition to a lot of young parents such as me, who are accompanying the children in the games.
The fast rhythm of modern dance was very strong, but I like the rigid-flexible Taiji Quan more. I join in a row at the end of a group of Taiji Quan. I was the youngest and the most unfamiliar on this team. Looking at their feet and gestures, I tried to imitate in “crane wings”, and “centipede adherent”. Huh, huh, I thought they were called like these, and I can not remember clearly. However, I still can feel the charm of Taiji Quan. Every movement had a profound implication of the martial spirit. My favorite and it was the rigid-flexible characteristics.
Just as in our life, in fact, rigid people were just too easy to alienate others, in one sense that it cannot be close; On the other hand, the people who were too soft have no oblivious personality when they were getting along with people. Both are extreme personality that I did not like.
Precisely how to do in life should be a concrete analysis of specific events, and only talking about this theory was not convincing, as the slogan some people were talking daily. It would be better to say nothing good, nothing with hopes. Just do what we meet in our daily life. Thinking about this in detail makes me feel comfortable.
In short, the people just cannot be too rigid or too soft. The rigid-flexible personality was very good. Frankly, I cannot be the person like this. I was back and forth wandering in the two extremes, which was like a seesaw in the park, and it was difficult to achieve a balance between people of the world. Perhaps my only goal is to strike a balance.
